Story: 

The little girls Mei and Satsuki (4 and 11 years old) have come to a new house with his father and hope that soon her mother that is in the hospital  go back with them. When they arrive they hear rumors that the house is haunted. 'Grandma' who kept house tells them that there are goblins that only childrens ( with pure heart) can see. Mei is the first to come into contact with Totoros, forest spirits with whom the girls live a fantastic adventure that will give them hope and help them move beyond their fears.

Opinion: 

This movie is for children ages 0 to 99 years, invites us to believe in the impossible, in the fantastic, not to lose faith and also highlights the importance of family and nature. Miyazaki met my expectations. This story touched me, I was amazed, fascinated... justly the British magazine Time Out selected it as the best animated film in history.
