Ano Natsu de Matteru is an anime serie produced by J.C Staff and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai. 12 chapter production shown on the TV channel AT-X. Genres: Romance, comedy, sci-fi.

While Kaito Kirishima was trying his 8 mm camera in the night, he gets involved in a misterious explosion. Strangely, Kaito wakes up the next day okay, but withouth memories of the day before. After that, forgetting the incident, he decides making a movie with his friends during summer vacations and they invite two senior students to be part of the film: Ichika Takatsuki, new in the school, and the weird Lemon Yamano... but he doesn't know that Ichika is not a normal girl, she is from another planet. 

The main characters of the story are:

* Kaito Kirishima: A first year student, really into movies. He wears glasses and his hair is gray. He gets and 8mm camera that was from his grandparent, and he carries it everywhere he goes. His parents died in a terrible accident years before so he lives alone with his sister, but he is still a really happy boy. Is a little shy, and like to daydream, sometimes he even confuse reality and fantasy.

His crush: Ichika Takatsuki.

* Ichika Takatsuki: An extraterrestrial girl that hits Kaito with her spaceship when she arrives hurting him. She is able to heal people with a strange technology that she applies with a kiss. The navegation system of her ship is a kind of pet super kawaii called Rinon. She cames to the Earth without her family's permission, searching for an special place that was hidden in her memorie.

Her crush: Kaito Kirishima.

* Kanna Tanigawa: New in the school too, studies with Kaito. Her hair is blue and short. She acts rude and a little manly adn tries to hide her feelings but is a noble and sensitive person in the bottom. Is really outgoing. Is in love with Kaito since the first time she saw him, loves his smile. She also have a friend called Mio and a childhood friend (Tetsurō) that are part of the movie too.

Her crush: Kaito Kirishima.

* Tetsurō Ishigaki: Schoolmate and friend of Kaito. Is tall and good with girls, really flirty. He is in love with Kanna, but he knows she loves Kaito so he decides to help her with Kaito 'cause he only wants her to be happy. Is a smart guy, knows a lot about girls and is good talking to help solving problems. His relationship with Mio is getting stronger during the vacations.

His crushes: Kanna Tanigawa  y Mio Kitahara.

* Mio Kitahara: Kaito's schoolmate and best friend of Kanna. Is a nice girl, with long hair. Is clumsy, shy and quiet. Secretly in love with Tetsurō. She cuts her hair during vacations to show she is grown up. She give advices to Tetsurō about Kanna and how to strugle with his feelings. Mio is almost all the time a shy and innocent, caring and loving girl, but she hides an internal force that even Tetsurō had notice.

Her crush: Tetsurō Ishigaki.

* Lemmon Yamano: Lemmon Senpai is the weirdest character of all the serie, is all misteries. Has a cold personality, is really small and looks less than the age she really is, her voice is different and her laugh is hilarious. Her hair is really long and she always have two bows.  She is Ichika's schoolmate and was the first one that talks to her when she arrives to school. Posee una apariencia menuda y una voz distintiva, su cabello es largo siempre recogido en dos coletas y su risa es muy peculiar. She enjoy recording what happens around to put it later in the movie. Somehow she knows everything about everyone and knows how to make other do what she wants. Always has a hidden trick.

She likes: Taking control.

My opinion: 

A really short serie (only 12 chapters) but highly reccomended to lover of romance and school life kinda series. A good production but a common topic.

Ano Natsu de Matteru es una serie anime producida por J.C Staff bajo la dirección de Tatsuyuki Nagai. Consta de 12 capítulos y fue transmitida por la cadena televisiva AT-X. Géneros: Romance, comedia, ciencia ficción.

Mientras Kaito Kirishima probaba su cámara de 8 mm en la noche, queda atrapado en medio de una misteriosa explosión. Extrañamente, Kaito despierta al día siguiente perfectamente bien, pero sin ningún recuerdo de lo que ocurrió exactamente el día anterior. Olvidando el incidente, decide hacer una película con sus amigos durante las vacaciones de verano e invitan a dos estudiantes de cursos superiores para participar en el proyecto: la recién llegada Ichika Takatsuki y la extraña Lemon Yamano... pero no sabe que Ichika no es una chica normal, proviene de otro planeta.

 Los protagonistas de esta historia son:

* Kaito Kirishima: Un estudiante de primer año aficionado a las películas.Usa gafasy tiene el cabello negro grisáceo. Recibió una cámara de 8mm heredada de su abuelo, de la cual no se despega un segundo. Sus padres murieron en un grave accidente hace algunos años atrás por lo que ahora vive solo con su hermana, a pesar de eso es muy alegre aunque introvertido.Suele soñar despierto, llegando inclusive a confundir fantasía y realidad en ocasiones.

A él le gusta: Ichika Takatsuki.

* Ichika Takatsuki: Es una extraterreste que al llegar a la Tierra golpea por accidente a Kaito con su nave interplanetaria, causándole graves lesiones. Es capaz de sanar a los demás con una extraña tecnología que consiste en "nanomáquinas" que se transmite desde sus células a través de besos. El sistema de navegación de su nave es una especie de mascota super Kawaii a quien llama Rinon. Llegó a este planeta sin avisarle a su familia, buscando un lugar especial que existe en su memoria.

A ella le gusta: Kaito Kirishima.

* Kanna Tanigawa: Es una estudiante de primer año, compañera de clase de Kaito. Ella tiene el cabello corto y azul. Su comportamiento es poco delicado, es algo ruda e intenta esconder sus sentimientos, pero es una persona noble y sensible en el fondo. Es una chica extrovertida y a veces algo masculina.Se enamoró de kaito desde que lo vió, le gusta su sonrisa. Además tiene una amiga llamada Mio y un amigo de infancia (Tetsurō) que también participan en la película.

A ella le gusta: Kaito Kirishima.

* Tetsurō Ishigaki: Compañero de clase y amigo de Kaito. Es alto y muy coqueto. Está enamorado de Kanna, pero no se le declara ya que sabe que ella esta enamorada de Kaito y él quiere que Kanna sea feliz. Es un tipo inteligente, sabe mucho acerca de chicas y es experto en mediar conflictos. A medida que avanza la serie va desarrollando una estrecha relación con Mio.

A él le gustan: Kanna Tanigawa  y Mio Kitahara.

* Mio Kitahara: Compañera de clase de Kaito y buena amiga de Kanna, es una chica muy linda, de cabello largo. Tranquila, tímida y torpe. Está enamorada de Tetsurō. Como señal de madurez y crecimiento se corta el cabello. Ella ofrece consejos a Tetsurō sobre como lidiar con sus sentimientos por Kanna, a pesar de su amor por él. Mio la mayor parte del tiempo es dulce e inocente, atenta y desinteresada, pero con una gran fuerza interior que incluso Tetsurō ha reconocido.

A ella le gusta: Tetsurō Ishigaki.

* Lemmon Yamano: Lemmon Senpai es el personaje más peculiar de toda la serie, llena de misterios y de personalidad fría, esta chica es la compañera de clases de Ichika y es quien primero se le acerca en su llegada a la escuela. Posee una apariencia menuda y una voz distintiva, su cabello es largo siempre recogido en dos coletas y su risa es muy peculiar. Disfruta grabando hechos que le suceden a los demás en la vida real para agregarlos a la película. De alguna manera siempre está enterada de todo. Además sabe cómo hacer que los demás hagan lo que ella quiere y siempre tiene unos cuantos Ases bajo la manga.

 A ella le gusta: Tener el control de la situación.

Mi opinión: 

Una serie muy corta (sólo 12 capítulos) pero super recomendada para aquellos que disfrutan de los enredos amorosos o de las series de tipo escolar (School life). Una buena producción, con una trama ya conocida.

Kannazuki no Miko, Yuri anime.

Kannazuki no Miko, manga created by Kaishaku and then turned into anime by TNK studio is the lovestory of two girls, the reincarnations of the Solar and Lunar Miko, respectively. The anime version is only of one season. Genres:  Yuri, Mecha, Romance.

Himeko and Chikane, reincarnations of the Solar and Lunar Miko are high school students. When an ancient evil rises once more, the girls are plunged into destiny as their long-sealed personas awaken to defend the world against the eight Orochi that want to turn the world in a place of darkness.

The main characters are:

Himeko Kurusugawa:  

The Solar Priestess, carries the solar symbol on her chest. Is a very shy, innocent 16-year-old girl. Timid and insecure, uncertain of her own worth and abilities.  During the serie she is fighting to define who she loves: the beautiful Chikane or Sōma Ōgami, her childhood friend. She was orphaned at an early age in an unknown manner, she was initially adopted by abusive relatives before being moved to other relatives that's why she is so insecure and that's the reason of her afraid of other people touching her hair. At school, Himeko seems to have only one friend, her dorm roommate Makoto. After the destruction of the dorms when Himeko comes to live with Chikane, she soon gains the enmity of Chikane's female fans at school.

Chikane Himemiya:

The Lunar Priestess; in sharp contrast with Himeko, Chikane is a very commanding girl of the same age. She has a very noble and elegant aura, lives in a large mansion with many maids, and is considered to be of the highest standing at their school; she has a considerable fanbase following of both genders.  Is good in archery and frequently uses the bow as her weapon of preference during confrontations with the Orochi, but is also good in other combat tactics. She is also good playing tennis and playing the piano.  Many at school believe she has a relationship with Sōma, though this is proven to be untrue. She has been in love with Himeko since they first met. She goes through a lot of changes during the serie.

Sōma Ōgami: 

Is The Seventh Neck of the Orochi and the only one able to resist becoming completely evil. He is the protector of Himeko. He do that because she is her friend and 'cause he has being in love with her since he know her. He has a very high social standing at their school, comparable to Chikane's, and most of their fellow students believe they are dating, cause they make 'the perfect couple'.  He is always facing the Orochi curse that wants him to turn bad. His brother Tsubasa is one of the most powerfuls Orochis. Sōma's mecha, Take no Yamikazuchi, is a humanoid robot that possesses a lot of varied attacks, with this robot he fights to protect the Mikos. He carries the mark of Orochi on his forehead.

My opinion: 

Even I'm not fan of Yuri genre, I enjoyed this anime. Seeing robots fighting while two girls are kissing each other might be really interesting to a lot of mans. LOL.  But not always bigger is better, this anime sometimes has a lot of stuff that doesn't contribute to the story. But is still a good option to start in the Yuri genre.

Kannazuki no Miko, gran exponente del anime Yuri

Kannazuki no Miko, el manga creado por Kaishaku y luego trasladado al anime por el estudio TNK se centra en la relación amorosa de dos chicas, reencarnación de las sacerdotisas del sol y la luna. La versión anime sólo tiene una temporada. Géneros:  Yuri, mecha, romance.

Himeko y Chikane, son la reencarnación de las sacerdotisas del Sol y la Luna respectivamente. Ambas son alumnas de secundaria. Cuando un mal ancestral se alza nuevamente, las chicas deben asumir su destino: defender el mundo protegiéndolo de los Orochi: Un dios malvado que desea destruir la humanidad para crear su propio reino de oscuridad con ocho 'cuellos' o seguidores.

La trama gira principalmente alrededor de los siguientes personajes:

Himeko Kurusugawa:  

La Sacerdotisa del Sol, porta la marca del sol en el pecho. Es una chica tímida e inocente de dieciséis años. Insegura y delicada, desconfiada de sus propias habilidades. Durante la serie debe debatirse entre sus sentimientos hacia Chikane y lo que siente por Sōma Ōgami, su amigo de la infancia. En la escuela, Himeko parece tener una sola amiga, su compañera de cuarto: Makoto. Luego de la destrucción de los dormitorios, cuando Himeko se muda con Chikane, se gana la enemistad de las fans femeninas de Chikane en la escuela. Tiene algunos traumas por sucesos de la infancia que son los causantes de su desconfianza, inseguridad y de un extraño temor a que le toquen el cabello. 

Chikane Himemiya:

La Sacerdotisa de la Luna, porta la marca de la luna en la espalda. En contraste con Himeko, es una persona de carácter fuerte. Tiene un aura noble y elegante, vive en una mansión con muchas mucamas, y es considerada una de las personas de más alta categoría de la escuela; tiene fans de ambos géneros. Es buena en la arquería por lo que utiliza su arco como arma en los enfrentamientos con los Orochi, igual es habilidosa con otras armas y formas de combate. Además es una talentosa tenista y pianista. 

Muchos en la escuela creen que mantiene una relación con Sōma, pero muy pronto se demuestra que no es cierto. Ella ha estado enamorada de Himeko desde el instante en que se conocieron. Ella atraviesa muchos cambios en el transcurso de la historia. 

Sōma Ōgami: 

Es el Séptimo Cuello del Orochi y el único capaz de resistir la transformación completa en un ser maligno. Ha jurado proteger a Himeko, su amiga de la cual ha estado enamorado desde siempre. Tiene un status social muy alto, comparable al de Chikane, por lo cual son según todos 'la pareja perfecta'. Mantiene una batalla constante contra la maldición del Orochi quien lo llama a combatir para acabar el mundo. Su hermano Tsubasa es uno de los miembros más poderosos del Orochi. Sōma posee un robot: Take no Yamikazuchi, un robot humanoide con gran variedad de ataques, con el cual libra muchas batallas para proteger a las sacerdotisas. Porta la marca de Orochi en su frente.

Mi opinión: 

No soy fanática del género Yuri, pero es una buena serie. Ver como pelean unos robots, mientras dos chicas se besan supongo que le ha de gustar a algunos hombres jeje. No siempre más es mejor, creo que en ocasiones se pasan poniendo cosas que no aportan nada a la historia. Aún así, creo que para conocer el género Yuri esta es una muy buena opción.

Mirai Nikki, Future Diary

The manga written and ilustrated by Sakae Esuno, and the anime and introductory OVA produced by ASREAD Studio Mirai Nikki is the story of a battle between people with Future Diaries. They fight for the throne of Deus, god of time and space. Genres: Action, Psychological, Gore. 

The god Deus Ex Machina is dying, if no ones takes his place the world will ends. He choose twelve 'players' that will enter to a surviving competition. The winner will be the next God. Their personal diaries has turn into 'Future Diaries' that shows them what is about to happen, their lifes and their 'Dead ends' (Death is the end of the game) that can be in a direct way (murder) or indirect (Diary destruction). Future is written but it can be changed, even death can be avoid.

The main character, the First (Deus favorite one) is Yukiteru Amano, also known as Yuki, a quiet, shy, and weak guy. Is owner of the Random Diary that gives a detail explanation of his surroundings very accurately whether it be the present or the future. He doesn't have friends, and is looking for someone that can protect and love him.

Yuno Gasai, the Second, is willing to do that. Her dream is being Yuki's wife. This lovely pink haired girl is insane, and is ready to kill or die for his boy. Her problems came from long time ago, her parents were really bad and she had suffer a lot. She has the Yukiteru Diary, wich gives her details of Yuki (what he's doing, dangers around him...) every 10 minutes. She is the favorite of Murumuru, the silly assistant of Deus.

Other diary owners: 

Keigo Kurusu, the Fourth, police captain with the Criminal Investigation Diary. Reisuke Houjou, the Fifth, a cute and innocent kid (not so innocent), owner of the Hyper Vision Diary that gives him three predictions every day. Tsubaki Kasugano, the Sixth, leader of the Omekata cult, with vision problems and a sad past holds the Clairvoyance Diary. Marco Ikusaba y Ai Mikami, the lovers, are the Seventh, they have the Exchange Diaries. Minene Uryū, the Ninth, is the owner of the Escape Diary, an infamous  terrorist with a life full of bad moments. 

My opinion: Good serie, I get addicted from the beggining. Complex characters, a constant internal and external battle. Maybe too melodramatic (it has liters of tears) and the ending isn't all I expected. But is a good story, I like it a lot!

Mirai Nikki, Diario del Futuro.

El manga escrito e ilustrado por Sakae Esuno, el anime y el OVA introductorio producidos por el estudio ASREAD, todos titulados Mirai Nikki, relatan la batalla de los poseedores de diarios del futuro desencadenada por Deus, dios del tiempo y el espacio, quien busca a su sucesor. Géneros: Acción, psicológico, gore. 

Al dios Deus Ex Machina se le acaba el tiempo, y si no nombra un sucesor pronto el mundo se acabará. Ha seleccionado a doce 'jugadores' para entrar en una competencia de supervivencia, en la cual quien resulte ganador ocupará el trono de Deus. Sus diarios personales se han convertido en 'diarios del futuro' que predicen situaciones, acciones, peligros...y sus respectivos 'Dead ends' (su muerte, el fin del juego) que se puede producir de forma directa (muerte de la persona) o indirecta (destrucción del diario). Aunque el futuro está designado, las acciones de la persona o inclusive de un tercero pueden cambiarlo al punto de poder evitar la muerte.

El protagonista principal, el Primero (primer poseedor del diario y favorito de Deus) es Yukiteru Amano, también conocido como Yuki, un joven tranquilo, reservado, débil e ingenuo. Es dueño del diario del azar o diario del observador que indica lo que está por suceder a su alrededor. Sus padres se han separado, no tiene amigos y busca quien le de afecto y lo proteja.

Yuno Gasai, la Segunda, está dispuesta a ser esa persona. Sueña ser la esposa de Yuki. Esta encantadora chica de cabello rosa está mentalmente desequilibrada y al parecer está dispuesta a matar o morir por su chico. Sus problemas radican en el comportamiento de sus padres hacia ella y todo el sufrimiento que ha atravesado. Ella posee el diario del amor o el diario de Yukii que informa cada 10 minutos de las acciones de el Primero, los riesgos que corre... Ella es la favorita de Murumuru, la pícara asistente de Deus.

Otros dueños de diarios: 

Keigo Kurusu, el Cuarto, capitán de la policía elegido para el juego con el fin de equilibrar los usuarios. Posee la Agenda de Investigación Criminal. Reisuke Houjou, el Quinto, un niño muy lindo e inocente, o eso parece, poseedor del diario de la Super Visión que se actualiza tres veces al día. Tsubaki Kasugano, la Sexta, líder de un culto religioso, con problemas de visión y un pasado tormentoso, poseedora del Diario de la Clarividencia.  Marco Ikusaba y Ai Mikami, una pareja de enamorados que juntos son el Séptimo, con el diario de la transferencia. Minene Uryū, la novena, poseedora del Diario del Escape, una terrorista que creció en zona de guerra y que ha tenido una vida marcada por las pérdidas.

Mi opinión: Buena serie, me tuvo pegada desde el comienzo. Personajes complejos, batalla constante  interna y externa. Se pasa de melodramático por momentos (litros de lágrimas) y no me convenció del todo el final. Pero buena trama, me gustó!
